So sorry to hear of your loss of your dear father Bobbie - I visited he many times when he was still in his home when I was the United Church minister at New Richmond and New Carlisle - what a fine, quiet and friendly man he was who always spoke so highly of his family and his dearly beloved Bertha - I am so grateful for his military service and that he survived and came back to spend many more years on this earth. Our sincerest sympathy to all those who will miss him.

Message de Marilyn 03 mars 2020

I was so saddened to hear of Bobby’s passing and at the same time proud to have known such a man. I have such gratitude and respect for the sacrifices he made during the war. Thinking of him today brings me back to a happy time when everything seemed so much more simple. I remember his smile and that twinkle in his eye. He was a good, hard working man who loved his family and friends. My deepest sympathy to you at this sad time and you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Rest In Peace Bobby.

Much love to you all
Marilyn

Dear Barter family, my deepest condolences to all of you. Bobby fought the good fight in many ways and has certainly earned his rest. We will always remember the strong man who survived the hell of a POW camp in Hong Kong with the loss of both friends and brothers in arms.
May the lessons your father gave you last a lifetime, and may you always feel his spirit nearby.
