It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Elsie Hayes Evans at the age of 98 years and 11 months.
Predeceased by her husband, Joseph Evans, her six brothers, Doddridge, Weedon, Gerald, Leonard, James, and Joseph, and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
She leaves to mourn her sisters-in-law, Eva Mackett, Elaine Hayes and Bertha Hayes, and many nieces and nephews and their families on the Gaspé Peninsula, throughout Canada, the United States and Australia.
Visitation will be held at the Maison Funéraire Réjean Bélanger located at 274 Gérard D Lévesque-Est, Paspébiac, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Friday, August 28, 2020.
A graveside funeral ceremony will be held weather permitting on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 2 pm at the United Church Cemetery in Shigawake with interment immediately following. In the event of rain the service will be held at the funeral home.
