It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Gwendoline May Steadman Coull at the age of 97 years. She passed away as she wished, peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 10, 2022. Her smile and sense of humor will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Predeceased by her husband William Vernon Coull (1921-1984) and her sons Johnny Coull (1961-2008) and Charles Coull (1954-2017) and (Wendy wife of Charles 1967-2009). Her parents Thomas and Ester. Her siblings Thomas, Herbert, Evelyn and Lillian have predeceased her as well. She was the last surviving sibling of her family in England.
She is survived by many loving family members including her children David (Corrine 1943-2020), Jacqueline (Gilbert), Brian (Theresa), Sylvia (James), Christine (John), Sharon (Barry), Tommy (Terri) and Rose (Danny). Much love was shared with her 24 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren. Many generations to carry on her story as a British War Bride to family and friends, and countless memories to share with others.
Gwendoline lived a full and loving life, filled with happiness, kindness and laughter. She will always be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
We want to honor her incredible life by inviting you to the visitation at the Salon Funeraire Henri Thibodeau at 221 Chemin Cyr, New Richmond.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Thursday, June 16th, and funeral service will be at 11:00 am Friday, June 17, at the St. Andrew's United Church in New Richmond. Interment will take place at Black Cape Cemetery.
Please be advised that on the day of the funeral, there is no visitation at the funeral parlor.
