Lorraine Ruth (Zanie, Mom, Mother) Steele LeBlanc was 99 years old.
Lorraine was born in New Richmond (Chaleurs) and was the daughter of Wilfrid Steele and Janet McColm. She was predeceased by her husband Alban and her son Greg.
She will be missed by everyone and she leaves behind:
her children: Lou, Bob (Elaine), Barry, Greg’s wife (Linda) and Pam (Marielle);
her grandchildren: Sean (Alison), Jennifer (Michael), Ted (Amanda), Nadia, Danny (Melissa) Philippe (Angeli), Marie-Josée, Cindie (Michel) and Cedrick;
her great-grandchildren: Sam, Julianna, Marie-Lou, Danika, Kaleb, Ethan, Sofia, Nico, Maya, Oliver, Olivia and Audrey ;
her sister-in-law Mona LeBlanc Parker;
also, many nieces and nephews.
Mom was a life member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 172. She was recognized for her volunteer work at the Legion and the Communities of Gesgapegiag and New Richmond. She was a member of the 50 plus association of New Richmond.
We would like to say thank you to Manoir du Havre for the care and the love they all showed Mom during her stay, also Dre Luce Picard and the nurses of the CLSC.
A celebration of life of Mrs. Steele will take place on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at St-Jules Cemetery. After the burial, a reception will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion of New-Richmond.
Donations may be made to Alzheimer and Dementia Society or the charity of your choice.
Professional services have been entrusted to the Salon Funéraire Henri Thibodeau inc, a subsidiary of the HG Division network certified Distinction by the Corporation des thanatologues du Quebec and by the Bureau de normalisation du Quebec.
